About the series 'Where I Matter Most':
"An introduction to an ongoing series first inspired in response to recent global protests once again demanding an end to anti-black racism following the murder of American George Floyd in Minneapolis, but also developed with the desire to display the lives and joys of black people lived in the moments between the protests. We’ve become very accustomed to seeing black bodies in a defensive, fighting stance, both literally and figuratively. My aim with this project is to show the pieces of black lives that are quieter, simpler, and more constant in our everyday than the cries and raised fists of struggle."
